We just cut the price of the Auto Shifter for the Swift CVT 2 in half.
Originally launched at $1000, it’s now just $500—thanks to bulk parts finally landing in our warehouse.
This upgrade delivers everything you love about hub-drives—the simplicity, the ease, the no-thinking-required experience—but with the raw power of a mid-drive.
It takes care of the shifting automatically, adjusting in real-time so you're always in the right gear without touching a thing.
No levers, no second-guessing, no more clunky transitions.

Whether you're powering up steep climbs or easing through city traffic, the Auto Shifter adapts on the fly to keep things smooth and effortless.
You get all the torque, all the performance, none of the gear headaches.
It’s one of those upgrades that once you try it—you’ll never go back.

I like a piano or a car with three pedals. I want a bass that is fretless. I like a woman who is interactively intelligent. I want a bike I can downshift in anticipation of acceleration. When I am brain dead feed me with a tube in my nose. But not before then.

This is simply the Enviolo automatiq, it has been available for years.
You set your preferred pedaling cadence and it adjusts the CVT gear ratio continuously to keep it there. You can adjust the preferred cadence on the fly to fine tune as you ride.
It also offers manual gear ratio mode for when you need it

I have one. It has been sitting for three years because it is so heavy and does not have much gearing range.

Thanks Ped...
What I love is the Box Prime Nine 11-50. Here is an example at a cadence of 80. A ratio of 350% is very nice. And it is steel. With a strong clutch.

I have a Nuvinci360 hub, a predecessor of Enviolo. Same design. It has a 360% range. I put it on a bike fitted with a TSDZ2b. I needed more range, or more gears, or more motor. Took the Nuvinci wheel off and went with a derailleur setup, but ulimately gave up on that bike.
The Enviolo design does rob a bit of power, and it failed in the market as Nuvinci, but that was before ebikes became the rage. Easy to compensate for the power drag on an ebike. Now, with ebikes, it has found its place. Yeah, it is a heavy piece of metal.

From what I'm reading it's really good for casual riding but there's been quite a few premature failures when put under stress.
The heavy duty version has a 100Nm rating but they still seem to have problems when used more than casually.
Additionally there's a lot of complaints when used manually with repeated cable failures.
Really interesting design though but I wouldn't mate it with an Bafang Ultra at this point.

I don't know, but maybe the Ultra might work well for this CVT.
The problem with the cables is that you are working those spring loaded plates, so it's a bit of effort. An electric/electronic setup might solve that issue. It's a really cool over a century ago concept, but it might have found its niche in ebikes.
