Just proves how useless my SPECIALIZED LBS is, when they can't service a serviceable freehub.
On the other hand, if my freehub has gone tits up in less than 700 miles, then I want it upgrading rather than servicing.

I have learned a lot by trying to do as much as i can myself. It wasnt difficult to take the free hub apart. It was making a slight grinding sound. There was very little lubricant in it. I re greased everything and now sounds better than ever. Have done 5500km on my Vado. I think this has to be done at least once a year. Do you know what went wrong with yours?
I'm not 100% sure what was wrong with mine. My LBS reluctantly let me have it once they had swapped it.
I took it home with the intention of stripping it down but I just couldn't find a way to dismantle it.
I eventually resorted to using my angle grinder just out of frustration.
