My text box has the symbols for using bold and italics but they are always grey and unable to be selected. Is this some kind of pay feature?
Apple 1Maybe, I use an iPad.
Thanks McCorby. This may be the most exciting problem solved today. I feel accomplished. I will sleep well tonightJust trying with my Samsung Galaxy S9. I can't do it either.
About as up-to-date as can be, from an Android perspective at least. Pixel 3, Android 11. Chrome version 87.No issues on this Android running Chrome and 10.1. Highlight text, select either bold or italic, done. Browser or OS version limitation perhaps?
Funny thing. The formatting toolbar is also disabled when using Opera browser on Android 10. It was not like before! My text box has the symbols for using bold and italics but they are always grey and unable to be selected. Is this some kind of pay feature?
Somebody get this man a beer!Click on the three vertical dots towards the right end of the formatting bar. Then, click on [ ] on the second row that appears. This turns on formatting. Voila! Now your formatting options are active (and no longer greyed out).
