Lightning P38

I now have 30 miles on my kit. This kit is a 36 volt, 500 watt motor, and 10 amp hr battery. Rear wheel motor and rack mounted battery. The bike is a Lightning P38 bent.
I must say, I am very happy with this kit and the amount of power. I live 5 miles from Scranton, and wanted to be able to pull some hills to get there and keep up with downtown traffic. I use pas settings of 2 or 3 most of the time. For short bursts of 25 mph I will bump it up to 4 and 5. I have not seen 25 mph on the flats on my bike in the past10 years....so this thing is like a supercharger on my bike.
It also helps with a quick take off from a stoplight with traffic. I am now comfortable riding with cars in a 25 mph zone as I can get up to speed quickly and cruise at 20 mph on pas 4.
I don’t use the throttle, as the pas is much easier and is like cruise control on a car...you just set it for the speed you want. I would not hesitate to buy a kit without a throttle, as I have not used it at all.
