Upgrade SRAM SX/GX to wireless AXS?

My wife will have a full suspension bike with the SRAM 12-speed SX derailleur. I'm thinking of upgrading it to the wireless SRAM setup since she has some thumb issues and the wireless paddles are easier to use. Any one done anything like this? I'm assuming it's pretty easy, if expensive, since she already has the 12-speed 10-50 cassette.

Any reviews of the wireless setup would be appreciated, too.
