It was Shimano Polska that used terms such as "E-Cycling" and "E-bikers" in their incompetent advertisement in Polish.

Shimano has announced E-Cycling Championships.

One would think the roadies would race on e-bikes.
Not. They would race on the bike trainers.

Sad, Shimano, sad. One might think you would promote your STEPS e-bikes. How can you promote e-biking if you idealistically stick at 25 km/h or Class 1 (20 mph or 32 km/h)?

They should not call it "e-cycling". It is we who are e-cycling. It is them who are "virtually racing".
