...not according to my LBS where I just ordered a Q9. I test drove the predecessor of the p7i ( the d7i) which my dealer said was one of 200 "mis-shipped to the U.S." I had the same question as you as for my particular recreational folding e-bike use, I thought the rear hub drive setup would be "simpler" and less maintenance. I preferred the Bosch components which is why in the end, I ordered the Q9.
