FWIW, I ended up using my Haibike for the Natchez Trace Parkway. It came with 400w battery and that proved to be a limitation. Shortly before the trip I looked into getting a backup battery but delivery time and cost made that not work out. The bike was comfortable for the length that I could ride it each day (about 40 miles). No issues on the tour with it. Given that my wife and I had not been on bikes for 6 months, I was glad to have the ebike at times. If I was doing it again, I would either stick with my hybrid so that I did not have to deal with charging or get a backup battery.
