I purchased my first bike in June. I now have over 600mile on my bike. i try to ride uNeil my battery runs out of juice, which is around 65 miles (500wh battery). When I get over 35 miles i start to experience something that feels like the chain jumping. I have brought it back three time and they keep tweaking the rear derailer, but I keep having the issue. It seems like it happens at the crank. Has anyone else had this issue? It happen mores towards the end of the ride when I am in turbo mode and 9th gear. Prior to this it is in ECO mode am I am providing most of the drive force.

On a separate subject, there is an issue with the battery mount. It lo up an it either prevent you from locking the battery in or the battery will fall out while riding (happened to me).

Thank you, Ed

Sorry about your issues. I don't ride a Trek, but there is a very active Trek forum here, so if you don't get any help here in introductions, feel free to cross post there or in maintenance and repair thread. Good luck and hopefully you'll get it sorted soon.

I’m a new Trek Verve 3 owner so I’m of limited help. You might go back a correct your post, there are some typos or where auto correct took over.

With mine the range is really dependent on so many things but mainly dependent on the level of boost. So far I haven’t even come close to hitting the range. The display will show me having a range of around 90 miles on eco and around 35 miles on turbo. It will also change as you ride, say you have a long straight stretch with a tail wind, the range will go up.

Mine has never skipped chain, can’t help there.

When I bought my bike they showed me how to take the battery out. They had trouble, so they took it in back, adjusted something, and then it was fine. I assume there is some kind of adjustment on how tight it fits. When I put mine in I put the bottom in first, then got the top close and give it a little smack to seat it. That last inch of installation seems a little tough to seat it.

Hi Ed…I’m an Allant+7 owner and my only feedback is to NOT ride until your battery runs out! I always leave at least one bar (approximately 20%) left if not more like 30-40%.
I had an issue very early on with my battery NOT coming out. I could still charge it of course but my LBS removed the battery and adjusted the latch (about an hours work) and it worked perfectly ever after. Until you can get it to your LBS I suggest you tie it in with a short section of inner tube.
