Not sure where to post this, BUT.......
During the month of July this year Trek had a "Trek Century Challenge" hosted at Strava.com that had 154.062 participants.

The rules were this:

Ride a total of 100, 500, or 1,000 miles and you'll win a custom t-shirt and a digital badge for your Strava trophy case. Reach the 500- or 1,000-mile mark and you'll be entered to win a custom Trek Project One bike and a special Trek factory tour experience!

Questions were directed to: [email protected]

NOBODY GOT ANY INFORMATION AS TO WHO WON OR ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN SHOWING THE POSITION OF YOUR EFFORTS

I inquired, I was told:
"We don’t make any public announcements for the winner, but if you would like to know who won, you can send in a written letter to: “Trek Century Challenge on Strava” Trek Bicycle Madison West, 801 West Madison Street, Waterloo, WI 53594"

HOWEVER, PLEASE! HELP ME OUT HERE TO UNDERSTAND?
Go to https://www.strava.com/challenges/Trek-Century-Challenge
Look at EVERYONE who participated, their names and locations are listed as participants, but yet we cannot know who won?

So, if you won, you were contacted, if you didn't, nobody had a clue if anyone won.

Does this seen normal?

Huh?

Trek's reply:

We can’t release the full name of the winner without their consent, but the first name of the winner is Derik and he was contacted last week. We do plan to try to have a media release once his bike is built and picked up in November.

This is quite common though, winners names are not publicly released in all circumstances.

Would love to see what mileage Derik had, and how that rates against the top mileage rider, for kicks. I can't seem to advance past the first 2 pages of entrants, to see if I'd spot a Derik in the roster.
