Trek Allant+ Child Seat

Does anyone have experience using a child seat with the Trek Allant+ 8s? Specifically looking for a frame-mounted child seat since the rack isn't functional on the 8s.

So you have no interest in a Burly?
Kid seats have never worked for me as I’ve always wanted to swing my leg over the seat to mount my bikes.

I'm not opposed to a trailer, but I live around a lot of hills and I don't feel safe going downhill with a trailer. Plus there are some small gravel bits that I will be biking through and feel that the trailer may not be the best option on those roads. Do the Burly trailers attach to the Allant+ frame easily? I've heard other bikes require some additional parts in order to properly attach the trailer.

very unsafe a trailer is the only safe way to transport a small child.

Could you elaborate on why a child seat is unsafe and the trailer is the only way? Is it an issue with the safety of the child seat attaching to the bike? Or is it more user error (i.e. bike falling over) that is the safety concern?

what happens to the child in that seat if you crash? do they tumble do they fly? do you plow into them when you go over the bars? even just falling over the child is going to hit hard. a good trailer has a rubber connection so if you fall over the trailer stays up if it rolls it has a roll cage and the kids are strapped in well. cars tend to give trailers a lot of room too.
