Trek Allant+ 8S front wheel not centered

My front wheel is not centered in the fork. I took the wheel off thinking the spacers might have been reversed but they were identical. Ideas?

I take it the rim/wheel is off to one side? its a through axel so you cant get it in cockeyed

If you install the wheel with the bike upside down, it’s very easy for this to happen. If that’s the case, try orienting it upright, and applying a bit of pressure to the handlebars as you tighten the axle.

this is a through axle so there is no side to side skewing.

Perhaps the wheel needs trueing.
