torque klunk when using the throttle

From day one, I've noticed a torque twist feel in the pedals when I hit the throttle. I can feel something "twisting" like it is taking up some space before the power is transferred to the chain.

Is this normal for a mid-drive? Something loose?
I contacted customer support and they said this is normal, but it sure feels like something is loose?

I have the Juggernaut FS....and I definitely get that twisting feel when the throttle is used.....I wish the throttle was not as sensitive so you could more slowly add power.

I am not familiar with your e bike but i have a mid drive and have learned a few tricks that work with my e bike.
I pedal when shifting and no throttle. I use pedal assist at 2 or 3 out of 5 and that limits my throttle power also.
This seems to make the entire bike feel smoother and less clunky. Pedal assist level 5 is hard on the drive train i have felt in my limited experience.
I would assume you would see wear if this continues and you will determine where the slack is

Juggernaught FS uses the Bafang Ultra and is programmed for 1500W. I agree, using Sport level 5 feels too aggressive and accentuates the twisting/clunking feel from motor. When applying throttle....its really difficult to use just a little....."0" to "full" is like 1/4 inch! I very rarely use throttle, because of this.

Yes, I'm definitely using less and less throttle as I get more and more miles on the bike. And even in snow I'm rarely over 3 on PAS.
I have only been in 5 PAS "just to feel the rush!"

I have even found that getting across the road in a hurry is just fine in 2.

There are only 3 paws on the clutch on the bbs02 motor. When you throttle, you could be seeing a lashback on that. This is normal.

Well, the klunk and twisting was NOT normal for me! While cleaning my bike the other day I noticed that the outer lock ring on the bottom bracket was loose. You could spin it with your fingers. And of course it needs a special wrench.
Biktrix got me one pretty quick.

Had to pull a crank to get at it! Another $15 for the tool!

Figured I'd check everything while I was in there so took the cover off. Everything was loose!
The two allen bolts that hold the Y bracket loose.
Bottom bracket ring loose
Lock ring loose

Tightned everything up and put itall back together. No klunk no twisting!

Sure hope I didn't shorten the life of my bottom bracket innards or gears on something running it like that!
