Too hot for me (and e-bikes)!

My bike is always stored and charge indoors in my garage. As per M@Robertson, my garage is insulated and doesn’t get that absurdly hot. On the hottest day - 98 degrees outside, the garage was just 90. Its also heated during the winter.

That said, I do pay attention on those very hot days. Just haven’t had a problem.

I will start taking the battery in the house after my morning ride.

I DO keep charger inside and will keep it inside year round.

Hmm, makes me think about my electric mower's battery, out there in the shed. o_O

There is a warning label on my electric mower about battery storage. They recommend storage between 40F and 90F degrees. It also says not to charge above 100F or below 32F.

Mine are compatible with other cordless tools so I keep them handy in a heated & cooled workshop.

It’s been really bad in Western Illinois, heat index up to 120 the last 4 days. I took the last 2 days off and it finally cooled off but were going on a trip and will be gone over a week.

One thing I really like about pedal assist is that I can use it to go fast enough to get my own breeze whenever I need one.
I am a warm & hot weather enthusiast. When the temps at our home in AZ exceed 100, the wind speed is often at near zero which means any direction we ride we get a breeze.

Much more fun than riding when below freezing at our home in Wisconsin. Which is why we go to AZ from October into May.

My favorite time to ride is after 10pm when the temps are still in the 80s.
Very little/no traffic on our streets. T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Ideal!
