Tire width limits on Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH

I am gearing up for winter riding, and am wondering what are my limits on tire width for my new Turbo Vado? Stock tires are 2.3's and I'm looking at the 2.6 Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro. Will they fit? Thanks in advance.

SBC says you need to go down in size with knobbies.

In general aren't stated clearances usually conservative ?
Don't know about 2.6 , maybe a 2.4 ?

I consulted my local ebike shop, and they said nothing larger then 2.3 for proper fender clearance. I found a set of Schwalbe Winter Tires (208 studs) in a 2.0. I'm purchasing them and an extra 200 studs, as the winters have room for more studs. I'm going to fill both tires with as many studs as possible, and do my best to keep the studded side down this winter. Supplies are limited and I can get a good deal on these Schwalbe's.
