Throttle but no pedal assist

Hi,
My wife and I have been riding E-Zips from Currie Technologies for the past fifteen years. We love them! But time and technology change. Last year I picked up a couple Lectric XPs. We like them too. Here’s the rub...
The E-Zips have throttle assist no pedal assist. If you want assist, you crank the throttle. My wife likes that. She’s not comfortable with the Lectric pedal assist kicking in. (yet) I’d to know if there is a way to have throttle assist but no pedal assist. I know it would make her “love“ the Lectric.
“I thank you all in advance...

I have never heard of an ebike that has throttle but no pedal assist.

Anyways, if you want to disable pedal assist, I suppose you could disconnect cadence sensor.
Ditto, disconnect the cadence sensor located just to the right of the left crank arm. Trace the wire coming from it to the connector.

A quick google search suggests the running mode setting can be configured to different 3 modes. 0 is no assist (Pas or Throttle), 1 is Throttle only, and 2 is both PAS and Throttle. It is referred to as setting P10 in the videos I just saw, but not sure if the display referenced is the same as yours? Can you get into the settings menu?

Agree, I double checked my manual and P10 set to 1 will enable throttle only. Way easier than unplugging the cadence sensor.

Thank you all for your help. You’re the best! I’m still trying to get the hang of all the computer control. With you-all backing me up it should be a cinch.
