The transition

I hate videos like this.
They take stock footage and overlay their narrative to appear as the video is authentic.
Though mentioned... The government subsidy/support of BYD is an enormous advantage for any company and the fact that that's how the PRC operates in all markets makes the entire revelation pretty much moot.

A wake up call was/is needed... but it's been known for decades.
Mentioned several times now. China is playing the long game. Period.

2025 was Tesla's best California sales year. Now they are down to about 14,000 per month. I recall the Detroit bailout of 2009. Another thing, Billionaires here are more foreign to me than people in China. I talk to people in China about two or three times a week. I have never spoken to a 'domestic' Billionaire.

darn straight, most forget the bailouts the gov't did for the two companies(Ford apparently didn't need the bailout money, going by that we should as taxpayers get a consideration when we want to buy Ram and gm junk.

A bailout is not the same as continuous government support, influence and investment. Often scale is forgotten when making correlations.

Additionally over 85% of the automakers bailouts were paid back with some portions at a government profit.

I will say this at inception,FoMoCo (Henry) had this vertical intregration to a large degree.
Darwin found a butterfly with a certain long tongue. He said, there is surely a corresponding flower. The flower was discovered much later. The system as with the sample car is not found in isolation. It is part of an ecosystem that produced it. One can copy the butterfly, but without the entire tropical ecosystem that produced it, it will not fly forward.

This is real, its terrifying and brilliant at the same time.
Corporations owning nightime sunlight...what could go wrong.

On July 9, the US Federal Communications Commission authorized Reflect Orbital to build, launch, and operate a mirror satellite in low Earth orbit. The experimental satellite, named Eärendil-1, would be capable of reflecting sunlight onto specific locations on Earth during the night

had a dream in 1980 about a soviet satellite that could burn the forests down,I despise the "burglar assist" lights that the former city dwellers have to put up in the country to spoil your night vista, the only effective "burglar" light is a motion sensor variety,I guess the city dwellers are afraid of the dark?
Who in the hell dreamed this nightmare up?I hope private ventures will have missiles capable of knocking these things from orbit[from He who has little even more will be required] why not after moon settlement go and turn up more reflective regolith,at least you would get a break from the infernal light several days a month."Think big or keep it to yourself".

Heavy sight...................

It could be a weapon if focused. Archimedes used mirrors to set the Roman fleet on fire. They could also be used in daytime. Imagine 50 of them focused on one spot such as one oil tanker.

Do you all remember when you were little, incinerating ants with a magnifying glass? Who's laughing now!

This is going to totally flóck the Daylight Savings Time argument 🙃
People living in the far north would love some of it in February. On the battlefield it would shine a light on enemy troops at night. And fry them like ants during the day.
