The PowerPak 500 would not charge with the 6 A Giant charger

It has been working OK for two days. Today, a friend has used up 2% from the battery. I wanted to recharge the Power Pack so I connected the charger to the bike. The LED on the charger went red. Normally, the LED turns green after a short while. This time, the LED stayed red permanently.

Was anyone met with a similar problem?

Are any of the lights on the battery flashing? Solid red on my 4A AU charger means charging, but without the flashing power level LED's on the battery it could indicate an issue. I'm afraid in that case it might mean a trip back to your Giant store. If that's the case I feel for you - you shouldn't have to deal with this sort of issue in your bike honeymoon period.

This is the bike of mine. Giant Trance E+ 2 Pro. Thank you for the information, friends. If the battery wouldn't not charge after it has been emptied, I will contact the repair shop.

I was not clear. The charger is connected. I've tried connecting either to the battery or to the bike and charging doesn't occur...

Good News
The charger is OK! It turned out (as Saratoga Dave and JayVee suggested) the charger wouldn't just work on the 98% full battery but no issue to charge one discharged to 26%. Sigh of relief!

@steve mercier, I don't want the Samedi. I wanted the Friday FS Speed. Why should I buy a used e-bike from a LBS who cannot advertise brand new bikes? Let them eat lead! 😀

I'm too tired to write now but the Trance E+ 2 Pro was worth every eurocent and more! I and friends have just returned from an exciting off-road trip in uplands!
