I did this ride last Tue-Wed-Thur on my BH EasyMotion Gravel X. Total 174 miles with about 8,500ft total elevation gain.

1st day 73 miles from Bates State Park to Monument OR. I didn't need assist for the first 40 miles which was a gentle downhill for the most part, after that there were some big climbs and I used assist liberally.

Stayed at a motel in Monument OR. Had 33% of the 400wh battery left at the end of the days ride.

Next day only rode 39 miles through the John Day Fossil Bed Nat. Monument. Into a stiff wind at times. 53% of the battery left at the end of the days ride.

Third and last day was 62 miles with a 9 mile climb followed by a 8 mile descent at the end.

Maybe could have made the entire ride on one charge but there was an outlet at Clyde Holiday State park in the picnic area so I used it while I had a snack.

Also stopped in Prairie City for a rest.

Then came the 9 mile climb. There is a view point at 5 miles where I stopped for a snack and found I had the first and only flat tire of the trip.
Tire not flat in this picture but a several minutes later it was.

I couldn't find the leak to patch so I used a spare tube, unfortunately the stem was short and I couldn't fill the tire entirely as it would leak at the pump. The 4 steepest miles of the climb were coming up then a steep curving 8 mile down hill which had me concerned but everything went fine. When I got home I found the tire pressure was only 20lbs.

Overall a nice ride and I'd consider doing it again with camping along the way.

Riding an ebike definitely made the trip doable and fun. The week before I rode across the Idaho panhandle on The Trail of the Coeur d' Alene and back in 2 days of 60+miles/day. For that ride I took a regular pedal bike because there wasn't much elevation gain but I would have had a much better time if I had taken the ebike. I think I learned my lesson. If weather and other things work out I might ride the Olympic Discovery Trail from the Puget Sound to the ocean and back in the next couple weeks camping a few nights - if I do I'll take the ebike for sure.
