I have never claimed the bicycle industry is big. Compared to automotive, it is tiny. But what does that have to do with anything? Anyway, I will say it again, it is not possible to make an 11T cog any more durable without making it much beefier, unless they start making them out of unobtanium. No manufacturer...not even an automotive one...can make a component of that size any better. The only way to do it would be to make it much bigger and heavier, with an increase in size to the chain as well.
You have two choices: for the industry to make much heavier duty parts just to suit you alone, or for you to ride the bike correctly, and as intended. Which of those do you think is going to happen? From my perspective, complain all you want. You are just pissing into the wind.
