Stronger battery for easy go race?

I have an easy go race and I love it. Most of the time I ride it with out motor assist and it feels just like a regular bike. However when I douse the motor the battery drains pretty quickly. Maybe about 15 miles. I understand I could get another battery to carry with me because they are rather small but I was wondering if in the near future s stronger battery will be available. That would be great.
