Stromer's St1 Platinum lack of after sale support and warranty

I also am having a very bad Stromer experience. I purchased a demo Stromer St1 Platinum with very low miles under warranty back in Jan. 21 2018. Since day one the battery would not charge up to 100%, so I took it to the one and only local dealer in my area. They told me a wire was bad and did replace that along with a new battery charger.....still this didn't fix the problem at all. And now I am having still another issue ...when I reach speeds of 17.7 mph it acts like the brakes are being applied every time.
I have called Crazylennyebikes for weeks now trying to remedy the situation and they say they can't do anything unless they can diagnose it by their shop in order for them to get the needed replacement parts. I bought this e-bike in good faith that everything was in working order. The manager even told me Stromer's either work or they don't. Well, it seems I am at wit's end on how to fix this new bike now. I must have gotten a lemon and I don't feel I am being fairly treated by this company now. If my e-bike is supposed to be under warranty it sure doesn't feel like it now. The owner of the store said he would give me 75% back on the bike if I returned it to them......this also seems so unfair and a loss of more money and shipping too since I live 2,000 miles away from this company. A decent reliable company should stand behind their products after the sale too...... this one has fallen short in a big way. Crazylennysebikes and Stromer have lost me as a customer forever I think now. Buyer beware.

I fwd'ed your concern to Lenny.
He called me back today morning and asked me to respond to your thread and lenny said he will send you a brand new bike if you can ship your old one back.
Case closed.

That's awesome @Ravi Kempaiah. I'm considering between a Cafe from Vintage Electric Bikes and a Stromer, and also determining whether to buy direct sale or online from someone like Lenny's. Hope to hear from @tenroz to see if the situation was remedied.

The latest update on my white Stromer St1 Platinum....after 99% of every major component was replaced... they still couldn't fix my e-bike after 3 months of service at the shop. Now for the great news.....Stromer has sent me a brand new ST1 Platinum e-bike in black with fenders and lights......so the moral to the story is if you are persistent and hold Stromer accountable for a bike that was a complete lemon .....they will eventually correct a situation that should not of happened in the first place. Yes I do love my new Stromer ST1 now and it rides like a dream again. Thank You Stromer.

i haven’t had mine for long. only 14.8 km on it but there hasn’t been a problem. Around when did you start experiencing problems?

Yes after about 3 months of a local shop trying to fix my Stromer platinum....the company Stromer decided to give me a brand new Stromer platinum e-bike with a city kit even. I had nothing but bad expericences on my other Stromer with less then 400 miles on it. Its was a complete lemon but this new Stromer they sent me is a dream to ride and so much fun. It comes with a 2 year warranty so I'll keep it for that long at least.

well so far i’ve been ok. it’s worked, well like a dream. i feel like a mistake but then-even the ppl who don’t have stromer bikes feel their 2 cents is the rarest gems when they talk about the nonstop problems but i haven’t seen that at all. maybe one problem is it says 97% on the display even after i fully charge her. in the frame and out of it. after separate bike rides i tried separate techniques for charging. but no lack of energy or misfire of torque. knock on wood it’ll keep going good and maybe i got the one without throne i found mechanism problem

I hate to say but your charging problem is how mine started but only got worse in time with other things....something major is wrong with certain earlier stromer platinum st1's from the manufacture or so it seems to me. Having the controller built inside the motor was a fatal mistake on the st1's but they have since resolved it by moving it to the down tube. As we all know we learn from our mistakes.
