I have issue with a stromer st2s
Sound is stronger when pushing brake and when motor accelerate
Anybody knows what's going on?
I have attach the video to this post
Thank you.

When I ride It's sounds like fender touching a tire, but it's not
Yes, sound depends with rpm
Actually weird things happen, when i stop bike completely, bike pushing me little forward and backward it self
I had to react fast, and remove battery quickly to stop that

Yikes! I'm sure you don't want to hear this, but it sounds like a authorized Stromer service visit is in order. If you do that, I'm sure the forum would love to know what they find.

Did this ever get solved ?

I have no more warranty on this bike, and i don't want to spend much $$$, so im trying to figure what's going on
I have found that one of phase cable [green one] connected to the wheel does not conduct
And plastic wheel connector looks like had to do with some high heat

It is hard to say much from this video. Is that rust I see on the cogs ? Have you ever ridded on salty surfaces?

Maybe you can make a video when you are actually turning the pedals, it seems you are just using walk mode.

A wild guess would be a problem with the motor connections (controller is epoxy coated and seems to be very durable so that start stop behavior may be a connection issue).

This is concerning, it should completely cut the power when you press the brakes. Again maybe a connection issue. Can you also take a video where you are using the brakes?

The high pitched noise ? Does it happen only at start/stops ? If not, someone with more knowledge may say more, it maybe a bearing going bad, something rubbing(like brakes) etc.

Good luck.

Issue found, new motor cable ordered
Green phase cable and blue cable (probably hall sensor) was broken inside motor plug
After few tests, with some self made connection everything works fine.
Probably that's why they changed motor connection in next generation, because they had issues with that plug, I think ;]

One more thing
When I first found broken phase wire[green one]
I fix it
Then screen show me code DX210205, then I start checking all wires and found broken blue wire( probably hall sensor), I fix it and bike works well
It may be helpful for someone with this code

@Tom85 congrats on fixing this. How difficult was the repair? Did you just solder-repair the wires with a little heat-shrink for waterproofing?

I had to remove battery case and then removed wire from a frame and cut whole plastic plug wrapping to see all cables and soldering

It is great to see that you solved the problem. If you can document this with a couple of pictures that would be very nice and helpful to others.
So nice to see that these bikes are workable by the owners when they are willing to do so.

Thanks for reporting this.

The remaining question is: How can a cable be broken inside a plug from one moment to the other? Do you consider sabotage by a jealous neighbor with a limp mid drive? Or might it be a stupid prank from the children around?

I mind Soldering between pin and cable has burned out, it's impossible to just braked inside
I will post some pictures soon, im waiting for new cable
