Stromer ST1 platium - chain falls off constantly

Hey guys, have a stromer ST1 platinum which is rad, but the chain falls off constantly. If I hit a sizeable bump or pothole, about 50% of the time my chain will fall off and I have to stop and reset it. On a bad trip - 11 miles, I'll have to stop and reset my chain three times! It's killing me, is this as simple as taking a link out of the chain and making it a bit shorter?

Thank you in advance!

A chain guide will do the trick as well. Check out my DIY version.

Haven't been riding as much as I'd like. Mainly due to my own laziness and my chain which kept dropping off when switching gears. So I started doing some research and even though there are some guides out there that are like 50$-60$ which is reasonable and some that aren't, I decided to build DIY one myself.

Using a rear reflector I completely disassembled it. Next I wedged some heat shrink on the coupling part and using a lighter formed it to the ring.
After that its just a matter of reassembling the reflector in a way that using some zip ties it will hold tension on your chian. When all is said and done it should look like this on your bike.

And that's how I fixed my chain dropping issue with spending any money.

Take it to dealer or good bike shop. they will fix it in less time than it took to write this post.

Correctly tension the chain and adjust the amount of chain wrap round the rear cassette (this will also improve the speed and smoothness of the shifts) and it won't fall off anymore. I only have had this happen after my dealer left mine out of adjustment.

The Shadow Plus derailleurs have a clutch to help prevent this too. If your chain length is way off it may be an easy fix.

I made my own chain keeper out of some thick steel wire I salvaged out of a collapsible laundry basket. Attached to seat tube with inner tube to protect paint and a super thick zip-tie to keep it in place. This has been on since last year shortly after I got the bike and the chain hasn't fallen off since. I assume the platinum has shifting on the front and you may need to fold the wire differently.

My partner just bought a ST1 Platinum in lightly used condition. I made a chain keeper out of the same hard wire material. This one attaches to the front derailleur bolt, which I've replaced with a longer one and added a wide washer. Not sure if you can see that I just bent the top and bottom tip in to create loops. Loop on the bottom is needed to get around the derailleur cage.
