Hey guys, I just finished building a couple Bikesdirect fatbikes, a Motobecane Lurch for me and a Boris for my wife. After a frustrating day of instruction, I had a Sturmer-Archey 3 speed built for my wife's bike... We're both running Bafang BBSHDs, and I have to say, so far it's been a total blast! I'm looking forward to many fun days with these new machines, and with the recent legislation here in Michigan, it makes everything legit...

I finished the wife's build, finally, and I have a few pics to share pre chain tensioner. The singleator came the next afternoon, and we went for a test ride. MC loves her new bike!

Very nice setup @Oddball, the 1x drivetrain is a great idea... how did you get the Sturmy Archer spoked into a fat tire like that? Did the Motobecane come that way?

No, that bike was equipped with a 2x9 drivetrain, but MC was a little daunted by all the gears... My LBS actually found a 36 hole wheel... SE Racing makes it...
