Steps E6100 problem

I have the steps E6100 drive system on my motobecane HAL e29 and have only 10 to 15 miles on it, basically brand new. I had the bike on a work stand to be washed and happened to turn the crank and heard a scraping sound coming from inside the casing. I can only hear the scraping on 1/2 of the full rotation. And always scrapes in the same part of the stroke if that makes sense. There is no scraping sound when reverse rotating the crank. Has anyone else encountered this?

I have not heard of this issue. Can you see any mechanical interference on the exterior of the crank or motor housing?

If not, I would recommend talking with BD and having a mechanic take a look at the drive and run the etube diagnostic app.
