I have a slow cadence (if you can call it a cadence, not real consistent) .I have read on the Swiss/German Stromer site that a person has switched to a 53 tooth front chaining. I believe this would help me at higher speeds, I find myself trying to switch to a higher gearing even when I am in top gear.

How much will this effect the rest of my riding experience? Will it make me more efficient and get more out of my battery (distance)or the opposite and end up using more battery ? same for peed? How dramatic or how much of an impact would this be (small as in hardly noticeable to large as it feels like a different bike)

I am also concerned about warranty but before proceeding i would check w/Stromer USA

Any other considerations ?

TIA

1 pedal rotation with 11 / 52 @ 26" = 9.70m
1 pedal rotation with 11 / 53 @ 26" = 9.90m

Difference = 20cm = approx. 2%. The difference between the gears is approx. 15%

With other words: You won't feel any progress. You need at least a 56. Did you ever considering a Schlumpf Speed Drive? The technical concept of the Stromer is: You give some power, than the motor add some power. The response time is set through the sensor. The force is set by the drive modes. This concept makes the Stromer being a sport bicycle. If your cadence is very low and the sensor setting very high, the motor will see this as a pulsating demand - and follow... (with increased consumption of energy)
