Speeding up Das Kit motor on Magnum Metro+

Hi All,

I have a Magnum Metro+ that has been a good commuter bike. It only goes 25 mph, and I'd really like the additional 3+ mph, if possible.

Anyone know of a way to hot-up the Das Kit motor for a bit more top end?

Many thanks in advance!

I believe Magnum has Reention Dorado 505mm battery.
so is it possible to increase mph by putting a 1000 watt battery on the metro?
Here are some options.

Okay, initially I was confused why you let an empty reply, but I'm guessing this is the part you wanted to respond.
You combined my response and your response, that's why it didn't show.

Anyways,

There's no such thing as 1000W battery. Did you mean 1000Wh battery?
Not all 52V battery are 1000Wh, even if it's 400Wh, it has no effect on top speed, as long as the voltage is the same.
(yes, it all depends on other factors like BMS and drain rate as well)

What determines top speed is the voltage, so by going 52V battery, you will increase 2 or 3 mph.
However, if it's electronically restricted by the display, it won't go any faster than 25mph.

You controller will be fine, since 48V controller can generally be able to handle 52V just fine.
Hi can the dad-kit off road handle 52v battery as I have ncm Moscow with Das-kit off road kit 15Amp controller with 500w motor

There's no reason to have a 52V battery with a 15A 500W setup. Sadly many budget 52V batteries are glued cells overstuffed into a cheap case.

I haven't had a problem with AliExpress.
Aliexpress is seldom the problem. Buyers need to understand how to vet and confirm a vendor selling on Aliexpress can be rated. Now that many take PayPal for an increased fee in some cases there MAY be a level of protection added. BUT counterfeiting is rampant. Ask on forums and see which companies have decent reputations.
62 orders since 2018 and two problems. First was a spot welder and I screwed up. My first order and I didn't properly file a claim. @nd was a product undelivered but turned out to be in the mail room at my mother's assisted living facility.

I DO NOT BUY BATTERIES ON ALIEXPRESS. I have used sellers on Alibaba the parent company as the seller's method of receiving payment. HOWEVER, I understand the risk taken. That has made me a repeat EM3ev customer

I have got lots of stuff from AliExpress bike + RC batteries & all sorts of electrical items & bicycle parts & car parts never had an issue with them. If I had to return an faulty item or damaged item there getting refunded or getting replacement & I have bought over 100’s of AliExpress. The issue is manly the buyer not reading description or not do any research on items be for they buy

Agreed to a point, but when it comes to eBike 18650 and 21700 Celsius I call Bullshit. RC batteries and LiIon batteries are different beasts.

I’m running a 21700 48v 24ah battery had no issues in last 2.5months come from AliExpress $700aud keep my NCM Moscow running on 40kph over 35km Journey to work and back as compèred to stock battery would do 38-40kph 1/2 way & 30-35kph on way home. Also don’t have to charge battery every night now only every 3-4days. So you call bullshit but have you run one of these batteries in your E-bike or just making guess on what you think there made like but done no research or testing on these batteries in your E-bike.

Not likely

I was referring to this video at 5:10, but Daskit might be the exception.
