Solorock brand?

A "brand", of ebikes? You gotta be kidding.

They are an e-commerce hub. Dig a little deeper on amazon.ca: "SoloRock Sports & Appliances is an online sales portal of International Sourcing Engineering Inc.". Appears to be on of those take-your-chance imports. Get a Voltbike.

Sorry, that I called them a "brand", as I said, I am very new to this and this is going to be my first ebike so I'm just asking. Thanks for the answers nonetheless. Considering the price and specs and good reviews here, I think I'm going to go with a voltbike urban. If I'm missing any good brands of folding ebikes that are budget and ship from Canada/USA, let me know. Thanks again!

Voltbike is still an import, kind of. But they at least have a brick-and-mortar store in Vancouver, they design their own bikes and you'll get parts and service when you need it.

There are few less known companies in BC that make folding ebikes (or design, or assemble from Chinese parts, whatever) - but I would better stick with Volt.

Amazon, Ebay and other online sources selling unknown bikes will not provide any service. At the very best you can return it within a month. After a year or two the company might not be there anymore, or they will not have parts because they didn't design or manufacture it, they just take a product of some Chinese manufacturer (and there are ZILLIONS of them in China), and sell it in Canada. Solorock sells bikes, dishwashers, toasters, - anything that they can re-sell.

Sometimes you can find a bike on Amazon or Ebay made by well known company, but this wasn't the case, sorry.
