So what bike does Court ride?

Since I am in the market and have watched darn near every review Court has done over the past few weeks it popped into my head today, after all the reviews and experience with these bikes,,,What Does Court Ride????
He obviously has had more exposure than any of us will get reviewing so many and all different configurations, so I would assume his ride would be what he considers to be the best solution. Would love to know his decision based on all these reviews. Does anyone know? or curious?

From the top of my mind, he rode his ebikes for some time and then dispose them. These ebikes were:

- full suspension hub drive Easy Motion
- full suspension Haibike that went to his uncle
- 2015 Izip E3 Dash
- Buffalo ebike that he subsequently donated to a person who needed it
- Stromer ST1, I think he still has it
- 'Electron" ebike conversion kit
- 2 Chinese hub driven ebikes that went to his paid I.T. guy

I am sure there were more. Court may want to add to this list and it would be interesting where these ebikes ended and how these ebikes are holding up in the present time.

@Jerry LM, Court would tell you that the best bike is the one that is right for you. What works for the type of riding he does may not be the best solution for another person. So the quality of a bike's components, how much riding you do, type of riding you do, the terrain, rider's size and physical condition along with budget constraints are factors that he would recommend a rider consider when selecting an ebike. And he would recommend that you test ride a number of different bikes at shops if possible and your friends' to get a sense of what riding an ebike is like as well as watching his videos.

Wish it were more simple; however, we're fortunate to have so many ebikes to choose from :)

In a couple of his videos he is being custom fit for a Specialized Turbo Vado. I assumed since they were making all of the adjustments for him that it might be one of his bikes.

I was behind a gentleman aged about 70 the other day and he was riding an ST1. We were in a flattish area and with my Haibike I was having trouble keeping up on some of the transitions where you have to slow down and then accelerate (like roundabouts). We then reached a 10% grade hill and I saw him drop down into a granny gear. His bike starts weaving and and he starts to snake up the hill in a slalom fashion. I understand that he’s trying to spin fast rather than push hard on the pedals because he doesn’t have enough strength in his legs. But spinning up a hill doesn’t really work with a Stromer, which is why he’s struggling. I overtook him and he became a tiny dot in my mirrors until the next red light when I realized that he had stopped and was walking. Clearly, when it comes to climbing hills he didn’t buy the right bike considering his physical condition. A mid-drive would have been better suited as he could have cranked up the hill without exerting too much force on the pedals.

The right bike is all about context...

I had the Izip Dash with direct drive (with torque sensor) before I have my geared hub drive right now so I have a good idea on the capabilities of both. I'm only guessing that the elderly rider may have not wanted to give up the eco assist mode, but at the same time, he also doesn't have enough force to activate the torque sensor in that eco mode.

HI all, yes I know I need to purchase the right one for myself and can't be dependent on another opinion but I was curious and buying one of these bikes with so many brands, and configurations in drive trains is a bit overwhelming. I have pretty much settled down to wanting a brand name my local area bike shop carries so I can get good service and actually try the bike I am buying.
I am looking at after wavering all over the Magnum Metro + which seems to hit most of the things I think I will like. I rode a UI5 and liked it, I like having the throttle option and a peddle assist past 20mph. My other consideration is the Magic Pro but I have not ridden that one as yet maybe this week. It has a throttle and mid drive, but is a 1k in price higher,,,so time will tell. Hoping to make a decision on the right one so I will be satisfied for a long time.
Once I own a car truck bike, etc. I like to learn about it and take care of maintenance myself and tend to keep things a long while. My car is 15yrs old now and still runs like new. Took a long time to decide on it as well.

Adding to the list of bikes Court has owned is the Pedego City Commuter. I remember seeing this 2012 video review in early 2014. This forum wasn't even started until late 2013. He has an eclectic ebike past, I suspect present and future as well. He is a committed ebiker!

Court was doing a review at Specialized headquarters and at a local dealer and he indicated that he received a great deal on the Levo FSR Expert. He just likes to ride around town on the bike for its added comfort, even though it is built for more off-road use with its dual suspension.

My understanding is Court sold his Levo a while ago.

Okay, I did not know that. I've seen it strapped to his rear rack when he was doing a demo on the rack he received from the mfg. Nice bike indeed. Probably got some pretty good resale value in comparison to other bikes out there.

I think he can damn well ride anything he wants.

Yeah, he certainly has access to some of the best models out there, not to mention many beauty models to choose from. Probably a hard choice after riding/testing so many. I am constantly calling/emailing LBS to see if they have newer models available for test ride and possible purchase. Love the job he has...

I'm pretty happy with the bike I've got. I've figured out how to tour on it. Don't think I'll be crossing
the Gobi on it, but I'm good as long as I don't run outa ways to charge.
