This is so awesome, nuts but awesome . I will look into the Armours. Come spring time I will try to do a 28+ mile commute one way (public transport one way) and not have to worry about flats on the ride. Thank you for posting.

My LBS is in the process of installing the Armours on my commuter. I did one 20 mile ride with an Armour on the rear wheel (LBS was waiting for delivery of the front wheel's liner) and I couldn't really detect a difference in terms of bike performance. The front wheel should be done this week and I'll have the bike back for some testing once we get some reasonable riding weather. I didn't take the decision to use the Armours lightly and I really was hesitant to add any weight to the bike particularly on the wheels. But thinking of safety on a 35 mile commute (reducing likelihood of a flat in a bad part of town in the dark...) swayed my decision to give them a try.
