Wish I had one of these when I lived in Crested Butte! But the free bus wasn't a bad option....However getting to the back country winter trailheads would have been doable with this:

Where are the boots carried? And the poles?

I'd hate to ride in alpine or rando boots. Even tele boots would be problematic.

And nobody in their right mind would carry a stove or an actual climbing rope that way.

The boots are racked on the front on either side of the climbing rope, which is a pretty dumb accessory for back country skiing IMNSHO as I have done a fair share of that activity myself and would much rather have a shovel and a beacon. As far as the espresso pot/stove goes that is a bit eccentric. Most of the BC Skiers I know would probably rather have a vaporizer.

They have the poles lashed onto the top of the skis, you can see the baskets at the very end of the tails.

Also for the intended purpose of getting to the actual trail head it is usually pretty well packed to that point and those size tires at a low psi would be fine in snowy conditions on top of solid ground. Once you hit the packed/unconsolidated snow a fat tire does perform better but that is when you put the skis on anyway.

All in all probably not going to be a very popular back country accessory, at least not as popular as an actual snow mobile. Speaking of which it might be cool to have a small electric track type deal that would pull you up the trail to the skin track.....
