I just received my new 2018 Mariner today and was wondering what is the red button for? I thought it was a shut off but does not seem to do anything when I press it.

Is this near one of the grips? If so, and if it's like the Yukon, it's to activate/deactivate operation of the twist throttle. Think of it as a safety latch on a handgun.

No problem. If you get a chance, start a new thread in the Voltbike Forum and give your first impressions including delivery time, unboxing, inaugural ride in the neighborhood, any issues, etc. I got to test ride both a Yukon and Mariner several weeks ago and loved them both. Looking for my first ebike commuter for a daily 17-mile round-trip on crappy paved roads and I feel either one would work. I'd appreciate reading about your experience.
