Sharing Vado 4.0 batteries?

My wife and I ordered Vado Turbo 4.0 bikes and expect to receive them soon, they were in our dealers current order so I don’t expect delays.
We will often ride together but sometimes alone.
If one of us wanted to go more miles than within our normal range could we take along the battery from the other bike and swap it in when the original battery is low?
Or are the batteries married to just one bike and unable to be moved from one to another. Again, both are the same Vado 4.0.

Swap away, just remember to bring the keys. The battery can be tricky to get properly seated, double check it when you replace.

They are swappable provided their firmware versions are compatible your display controller. My wife's Vado had this issue with a new battery. After the LBS updated the firmware she was good to go.

You'd think this wouldn't be an issue with 2 new identical bikes, but I'd suggest you check this before leaving the dealer.

Now for the BIG QUESTION: what color(s) are you getting?
Seems like most dealers had limited colors and sizes but our shop in Napa already had two in our sizes already ordered- both red, we didn’t want two the same but so be it. We will accessorize each to suit and easily tell them apart.

All Vado batteries (regardless of the capacity) are swappable. For some time, I had the original battery only (a 2017 one, activated during the purchase in 2019) and later I bought the latest one. The spare battery worked without any problem, no version number issues. Later, the LBS updated the software version on the old battery, too.

Originally, the old battery reported 97% health. After my Vado got upgrade to the new display and all firmware updates, it turned out the original battery was 100% healthy, with only 28 charge cycles.

I confirm @tyronebgoode there shall be no problems with the battery swapping.
