Serial 1 from Harley Davidson sold to LEV manufacturing/ Life EV (formerly Prodeco Tech)

In a strange turn of events, Serial-1, an E-bike spin-off from Harley Davidson, has been sold off to LEV manufacturing.
LEV Manufacturing was formerly known as Life EV, which sprung from Prodeco Tech (one of the earliest E-bike companies in the industry).
This sale shows the difficulty of building a high-end E-bike company and the industry's commoditization. Any kind of manufacturing is tough in America, and I really hope they succeed.

Before I purchased the BH Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B, I had considered this E-bike from Prodeco Tech back in November 2013. It is surreal to see the changes in the industry and how much it has changed.

I am not surprised that Harley sold the serial one division off, but I am surprised that Prodeco bought it. I didn't even think Prodeco was still around.

The Rush/City step thru looks like a decent deal at $2500 US. Gates belt, good brakes, Enviolo tranny, lots to like. I need another ebike like I need a hole in the head!!

The acquisition of Serial 1 was important to us for many reasons.

LEV MFG a/k/a Life EV acquired Prodeco Tech's assets in early 2020.

Prodeco Tech became the largest brand and manufacturer in the USA for many years during the past decade.
