Samsung has published in Nature a breakthrough in solid state battery technology. Their test battery produced 80% more power for the same volume with less weight. I have not read the full submission only the abstract but others are saying it is truly a the breakthrough that eliminates dendrites and simplifies manufacturing . Anybody have all of the details from the article?
Interesting trivia John Goodenough lead the team that perfected the Li ion battery.
Young Gun is on the team developing this technology for Samsung.
Gotta love the names in this field!

Seems over the years they say this tech is just around the corner but then it just fads away till the next "break-thru."

I would think this tech if proven feasible will firmly put the stake in the heart of fossil fuel ICEs. Not something an Exxon executive with all those crazy perks wants to hear but they have never really done much but line their pockets (I'm not anti-business but sometimes the profit goals and what is really good for human future don't align).
