Have you ever heard of this bike?

They do NOT offer in ebike configuration šŸ˜² looks like a good donor bike for ebike conversion.

Salsa Blackborow is reborn as "mid-long" adventure fat bike - Bikerumor

I strongly considered this bike but it is not a candidate for a mid drive conversion due to the motor having to hang very low under the bike. Too bad the frame is not offered with a G510 Bafang mount.
The bike is a candidate for a hub motor

I think CYC X1 is one of the easiest motor to install it upside down, but here are pictures of BBSHD and CYC X1.
Not knowing the OP I was trying to be serious. The BBSHD will not install upside down in the Blackborrow and the downtube is sloped to near zero so you cannot roll it up out of harms way. I would not consider the CYC for that application. I think of the CYC as being for very knowledgeable DIY's cheap sand box play toys. So to speak, I did not want to throw a stick to fetch in the wrong direction. No one had answered him in 7 days.

Here is what I just put together.
2021 Salsa Blackborow
100mm threaded bottom bracket.
EM3 battery and BafangBBSHD and Eggrider.
Built for trail building, maintenance, and general transport.
Not satisfied with ground clearance due to motor indexing, but no option yet with this set up.
Bike rides well, hauls the farm, and I am pleased with it.
My first post, my first ebike.
Feel free to ask questions, though I have alot to learn.

What maximum tire pressure do the tires allow?
At that pressure, what weight can the bike carry without banging the rim on potholes? I'm using 2.1" at 60 psi; the tires hit rim at about 80 lb cargo. I weigh 160 lb. I could be interested in a softer ride.
I'm much too happy with front geared hub motor on bike left to try chain eating ground scraping mid-drive though. I bang the 2 legged stand on curbs & holes sometimes.

I weigh 240lbs and am hauling about 40 pounds in gear.
High volume of tires allows pressure to be low.
i am running 10psi on 4.5 size which is a bit high.

Mid drive hangs low, no doubt. I have about 8ā€ of ground clearance.
No issues on anything but logs.
Hard to pop wheelies with this extended frame length.
But that is not the intent of this build.
