Running lights off the usb ports?

I was interested in running some led strips on the downtubes of my bikes for increase visibility and wondering if I can plug that into the USB on my batteries /displays

I think most of my bikes have a USB plug somewhere
Are those powrrful enough to run lightsoff of?

Does anyone know of led strips that come with usb plug on the end?

Thank you for any input

If the LED lights can be run off with 5V, 1A output, they should work.
You just need to make sure the output voltage and current are matching with the required input to the lights.

Thanks Ravi

Will see what i can come up with

If I find any that will work will list them here

I dont' think you could run any decent headlight, but one of those "be seen" strips might just work.

that is what i was thinking too

looks like the luminoodle meets the required voltage etc, but not sure how bright it will be

will probably try one of the white ones and a color one, can use them for my bike trailer if they dont work well on the bikes

i have some of those brightz frame lights and took some pics of one of the bikes last nite, looks really bright in the pics and like it covers the ground a good bit underneath but hard to say if the pics just make it look brighter

will try to post a picture but need to downsize it

for the $10-15 they are ok, but they are not lithium rechargeable
