Ride1Up Question

I received my Ride1Up 500 ST October 2021. But when I looked at the label on the battery it reads Mfg. date 20201122. Am I reading this wrong? Does this mean the Battery was Mfg in 2020? Shouldn't I have received a 2021 battery?
Thanks everyone.

Purchase 10th month, I would expect current year. I purchased LMTD in 11th month, and received current 2021 battery. But maybe R1U Series 500 had lots of stockage and some remaining from 2020, which you received. I wouldn’t worry about new year old battery. The year probably has no noticeable deleterious effect.

Thanks rcdanner for the response,
But I specifically asked CS before buying would I receive a 2020 or 2021 500 model and was told "I would receive the newest model offerings". Especially when they hiked the price on the bike at time of purchase and it has gone up since. So now I'm thinking the bike itself is old stock and a 2020 model or refurb especially the way the box came on delivery. At 60yrs old I don't like being deceived. If you are told and expecting new and current you shouldn't settle for less.

I got my Ride1Up 500 ST in April 2021. The battery is dated 2020/10/25.
That's really frustrating and they should really disclose what year a bike you are receiving. Guess they have plenty in stock. Who wants to pay a new price for a 1 year old ebike? I know I don't and wouldn't do it with a new car.

The biggest downside is you can not order a new Ride1Up bike with an upgraded battery. It seems they have an excess of 13Ah batteries to get through.
