Ride1Up 700 - what changes would I make...

I love my new 700 Step Thru and only have 2 suggestions that the manufacturer change. The display dims when using the headlight. I like having the headlight on during daylight hours for safety reasons but then the display dims and it is hard to impossible to read. Please stop the dimming feature. Second, add a flashing mode to both the headlight and tailight.

Will an lcd display even work with a lishui controller? I thought lishui was a KD type controller and that only KD displays would work, and that lcd displays are for KT controllers.

The thing I like about the 700 is, there are waterproof connections above the battery and JST connections at the controller below the battery. You can use both!

I actually like the dimming feature because I use the headlight when it's dark. But there is a workaround to keep your display brighter when you are using the headlight. Turn on the headlight, then go into the advanced settings and select the luminance there. It will brighten up the display even though the headlight is on. It will reset to normal if you power cycle the display or turn off and on the headlight.

Many people add additional / brighter lights to their bikes anyway. I certainly did, which have flashing options.
