ride 1 up

Want to buy either ride 1 up 500 or 700 series. I am 6ft. 2in. and 190 lbs. Not sure that the 500 series would be big enough. I know that the 700 series is bigger but it is also 9 pounds heavier. Which bike would you recommend? Don't want to have the seat raised all the way up.

Regarding the weight, the 700 has a bigger battery, so that's likely a good part of the weight increase. Worth the increase in weight for a lot of us. Might be an extra pound or 2 in the bigger motor as well.

And still on the weight, when riding that weight will not be noticeable for most riders. You are no longer supplying 100% of the energy required to move the bike. You'll have varying degrees of assistance available from the bike. About the only time I notice what a bike weighs is when lifting it, which I rarely have to do.

Agree with the points above. We are all conditioned that higher weight is always bad from our experiences with acoustic bicycles. A bit of extra weight on a e-bike really makes no big difference. Actually as long as it is not high up on the frame, a bit of extra weight actually contributes to a more stable ride at higher e-bike speeds.
