Extender

Hi everybody,
I would like to know if the TQ50 extender is acting/working as a real battery able to feed the motor or as for the Mahle system is merely a power-bank.
More clearly in case the 360wh battery is fully depleted it's possible to continue the ride using the Extender assistance?
I planned an Alpin tour ( 45 km- +3.500 mt elevation gain-8,5% average gradient) not sure the main battery shall be enough ( all climb in ECO mod) but I can count on my Partner's assistance whom follow by car. The strategy is to start light without the extender and to use it only if requested.
I have not experience either with TQ's assistance as I just swap from my Cervelo Rouvida AXS FazuaRide60 to Pinarello Nytro E7 Road.

I have a Pinarello Nytro E5 Allroad with an extender. The way it works is like this.

The bike uses the extender first for the motor, but the display, lights, and other accessories are powered by the main battery. When the extender is depleted, there may be 99% remaining on the main battery because of what I just mentioned. Then the main battery takes over.

How this is displayed on the bike depends on the display. If you have the dot matrix display, when you power up the bike with the extender connected, the battery display shows 150%. If you have the V04 color display, each battery's remaining charge is shown separately. Once the extender is depleted, the display shows the main battery only.

Pinarello dropped Fazua because of the way they handled problems. The TQ HPR50 has had its share of problems, too. The difference is how TQ has handled them.
