I don't see what is special about this bike that makes it the "ultimate" commuter. It has some nice touches but still just a mid drive paired with a decent derailleur and a coil fork.

I think it makes sense when you compare it within the Gazelle line.

I love my 2020 Medeo T9, and I personally think that a lower-priced bike is a more logical choice in a lot of urban environments. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have the balls to leave an Ultimate T10+ chained to a post all day downtown.

Still, if you have a challenging enough commute that you need a speed pedelec, then the rest of the bike should be upgraded to suit the higher performance and resulting stress.

From that perspective, the upgraded forks, brakes and driveline components, stronger spokes, 20% more powerful integrated battery, etc., all seem like logical upgrades.

The only nit I would pick with the T10's specifications, is the Purion head unit. At nearly double the price, I think they could have sprung for a more comprehensive display.
