Replica airguns

Wow, nice collections there, guys!
Please, if anyone knows of any pump type pellet air rifles in the lowest price range, good for hunting birds and rodents, for Canada, where it must be not a replica, and must be less than 500fps and muzzle energy 5.7 joules or 4.2 foot-pounds, give me a clue :)
Thanks!

Hello, Handlebars
I can't help much with a pump rifle except to try looking at what Pyramyd Air has and see if they have what you need. Hope this helps some.
Keep looking up! Ken.

IMO, 500 fps / 4.2 ft lbs doesn't offer much knock down power for rodents except perhaps at close range. I have a pellet pistol rated at 525 fps and a direct hit on a squirrel at 25 feet makes them jump but does no real harm. I use it mainly to scare them off my deck. A 500 fps air rifle is suitable for targets perhaps but not for live game. You are more likely to injure an animal but not kill.

For serious rodent control, I use this Gammo Swarm Whisper air rifle rated at 1300 fps / 17.8 ft lbs.

Is the 500 fps / 4.2 ft lb rating a Canadian limit for air rifles?

At that limit they are not weapons unless you try to use one as a weapon in attack or self defense.
Sounds worse than useless for hunting though.

Any air gun firing at more than 500 fps must be registered as a firearm in Canada. In addition our virtue-signalling federal government has just introduced legislation that could make any realistic replica pistol illegal/subject to seizure. It’s their attempt to appear to be dealing with handgun crime that is entirely from smuggled guns, not those obtained legally. It is very hard to get a “real” handgun legally under existing laws.

If need be:. Metal construction & Reinforced barrel for a tomahawk whomping on the noggin'

If you gotta register, might as well get a real rifle then... Kinda odd, but I can see where this law is coming from.
If people still smuggle guns that often, what's the point of making getting "real" deal so hard? Might be just me living in a hunting family and often hanging out around real guns, but I really don't understand this. Recently I ve got an air rifle from nearby hunting store https://gritroutdoors.com/ and it's been as easy as buying a loaf of bread. Took a bit of extra time at their range to see that it works well and took it home, simple as.
