Yes actually you do "fold" them or "swing" them inwards for doorways and the opposite obce your through said doorway . Fold was for lack of better word, hence the reason it was in quotes because you don't fold them like a towel. However, they are movable once installed

Or you can just leave the Mirrycle pointed inward.

Took some getting used to, but the rear view's still more than adequate, and the mirror gets knocked out of aim a lot less often.
You can get used to anything... but the view is far from best possible and in that position your arm/hand can easily get in the field of view.
The Hafny design is superior with no washers to deal with.. far better aesthetically and folds, swings, pivots and pirouettes

Mine fulfilled its 2 missions and is off the bike for now. These were (1) to teach me how to eyeball grades in the saddle, and (2) to test my impression that the grades reported by RideWithGPS (once a ride is closed out) are consistently too low.
As for (2), impression confirmed. The steepest pitch on a hill is typically at least 2-3% steeper than the steepest grade given by RideWithGPS. So when RideWithGPS puts the steepest part at 8%, it was really 10% or more.
Plan to remount the inclinometer now and then to keep my eye calibrated.
