Rear hatch carrier

Hi, I live in the UK and have just purchased a Haibike Sduro Trekking 9 (2019 model). I don't wish to go to the expense of having a tow bar fitted to my car as I plan to be changing the car is a year or so. My question is can anyone recommend a rear carrier that attaches to the rear hatch door? I will only ever be carrying this one cycle on the rack and only plan to drive on main roads to get to my destinations (eg no off-road tracks or bumpy side roads) The bike weighs 23kg without the battery (which I would remove during transit) and has a wheelbase of 1155mm. I have been looking at the Pure Instinct carrier http://www.peruzzosrl.com/en/bike-carrier/rear-mounted/pure-instinct-rear.php and was wondering if anyone had used this carrier or have a suitable alternate that they can recommend.

That looks like a very heavy duty steel strap on rack. Specs state 22.5kg per bike (~50lb). I've never seen a strap on rack rated above 35 pounds per bike. It's very likely you could remove the saddle and post and be within specifications. Nice find!

Most of us here try to talk people into hitch racks due to the weight issue. Better safe than sorry argument. But that rack you found looks like it might be a unicorn. A rare find. If you do buy it please post a review and pics here in the accessories forum. It would be a big help to people without hitches.

You posted a question, but you might have offered an answer to many.
