I surf big waves. Unfortunately my knees are not what they used to be, so walking the half mile to my favorite break is getting problematic. I'm wondering if the Trail Tracker will be able to make it. The shore where the sand is wet has a steep decline, so the ride would be predominately done on dry, loose sand. I read one review that said the Trail Tracker is good on wet but not dry sand. I think that was for the 2013 model. Does anyone have first-hand experience in terms of negotiating dry, loose sand with the Trail Tracker?
Next concern deals with pedal assist: I've been given a good deal on a new Trail Tracker; however, it does not have pedal assist. My other ebikes all have pedal assist, and I really love it. I'm wondering if pedal assist can be added? I save $1000 if I just do throttle only, so I'm speculating it's worth the inconvenience.
Please respond quickly, as the bike is a good deal so I have to act fast: $1995 for the 2014
