I just purchased the rat in Challenger Pro having issues. They sent me the bike and the battery charger does not fit the battery. 4 days later I get the adapter. So I go to plug in and charge my battery but it doesn't charge my battery. Do not buy through electric bike Paradise. Com. Buy directly through rattan or another reputable company. Electric bike Paradise is a nightmare I've had to go over their heads straight to Rattan to get anything accomplished. Rattan is sending me a battery after I had to purchase a multimeter and run a diagnostic they asked me to run had to send them a video and attached photos. Battery is supposed to be here this coming Friday. Wolsey what happens at that point I have a feeling there's more oven issue. I took my multimeter and tested my charger it's fluctuating all over the board 8 volts to 80 volts. My roommate has an 48 volt ebike charger I took my voltmeter and tested it it's putting out a a steady 54.6 volts which is proper for a 48 volt charger. Now I have been told some Chargers fluctuate like that to wake up a sleeping battery. But I don't know if that's true. It comes with a phone holder now that phone holder has a USB port which is Handy you can charge your phone. But it does not work. And it's wired directly into the system. There's no inline fuse where if you didn't want it on your bike you can take it off. Or replace it when it doesn't work like mine. Now that being wired directly into the system and it's a possibility it's causing a short. What's makes me uneasy. Even if I get this battery and everything functions properly. Now as far as the way the bike performed I was surprised the 350 watt motor had some get up and go on flat ground I got up to 24.5 miles an hour with throttle. But easily pedals up to that speed and then initiated throttle to maintain it. It has cruise control which has a cool feature I rode the bikes around until my screen started flashing I had no issues with the bike now I live in Florida so I'm not climbing too many mountains but the few Bridges and stuff I had no issues it had the power. But if I lived in more hilly area I would go with the 500 Watt compass. I actually I've had so many issues for this bike that I filed a grievance and gave the electric bike Paradise the opportunity to swap it out for a compass they're the same price. Compass has a larger battery 48 volt 13 amp hours. My Challenger Pro is 48 volt 10 amp. granted a 350 watt motor doesn't pull as much juice as a 500 what motor but they claim the same mileage. Just testing my Challenger I put 15.5 miles on the bike it only took one bar off the battery indicator I had two more bars remaining. My friend has an ancheer and only gets 20 miles. So I already know my bike has double his range is not more especially with the regenerative properties i - pas intelligent pedal-assist takes kinetic energy and turning it back into a volts and storing it back in the battery. It works while braking on my model according to rattan engineer told me coasting are going down a hill will regenerate energy back into the battery if your pedal setting is on zero which means no throttle regular bicycle. I kind of didn't make much sense to me that's what he told me. most people are not going to keep it in zero or every time they Coast they shift it to zero. Now they advertise that one of their screens LCD screens the RT 718 or the RT 918 color display. Quote where this display you can activate the regenerative features on Challenger Pro and fat bear also couple other male models I didn't see the compass but I'd check into it cuz if you can open up those regenerative features. that only means more mileage out of your battery. what I wish I knew somebody that could verify that it does help. Or is it just a marketing ploy to sell and $240 LCD screen. Safe riding
