Range on Max Assist

hi forum,

just a few quick qustions
what has been your experience on MAX range when using MAX assist (5)?
and has it been affectd by cold weather.

i have a RadRhino 5 and after charging it just after christmass for the first time in a few weeks i only got 30km out of a full charge, i know i should probally not be using MAX assits all the time but i love speed.

It is normal for a L-Ion battery to loose 20 to 40% of capacity during cold weather and varies by degree. Keeping the battery indoors until just before a ride and using a battery "blanket" reduces the loss.
By comparison, I normally get around 35 miles using max assist with my Pedego 48V 15AH battery. This drops off to +/- 25 miles during cold, 20 degree weather.

I used up half the battery last summer in nine miles. I went from around 2200 feet elevation up to 4500 feet. I used turbo most of the way. It jives with what my bike predicts it will do.
