Range Extender and Smart Control

When using the range extender with Smart Ride in Mission Control it appears that when using distance as the guiding parameter it is capped at 80 miles. While this might be the realistic limit in many cases, is it not possible to put in a distance of say 100 miles knowing that assistance will be very limited? Any work arounds?

It is capped at 100 miles for my Vado SL 4.0. Perhaps the max distance depends on selected assistance %?

It is also possible that the distance is lower on US Class 3 SL since theoretically they could maintain a higher average assisted speed. I get limits of 80 miles distance or 5 hrs duration when I checked. Maybe for non Class 3 bikes Mission Control makes the adjustment to 100 miles - what is the max duration for that distance? Interesting that it did not make a difference for me whether the bike was on/off or if the range extender was connected when the bike was on with Smart control enabled. Always maxxed at 5 hrs or 80 miles.

I suppose if you used duration you could ride for 5 hrs with smart control assist. If you can average 20 mph- that will get you to 100 miles. If you go faster, it will probably lower the amount of assist/battery drain as your speed increases.
